Legacy Saddles Returns and Damaged Items Policy

We want you to love your new saddle or tack—but if something’s not quite right, we're here to help. Please read the following return instructions carefully to ensure a smooth process.

Return Eligibility

To initiate a return or exchange, you must email returns@legacysaddles.com for authorization and return instructions.

⚠️ Do NOT send returns to our main office—this may result in lost packages and extra costs. The correct return address will be provided in your authorization email.

Return Deadlines

  • Fabtron products must follow the same return process, but must be initiated within 7 calendar days of delivery.
  • All other items are eligible for return within 30 calendar days of delivery.

Saddle & Tack Condition Guidelines

To be eligible for a full refund:

Items must be unused, in new condition, and free of:

  • Scuffs, scratches, or wear marks
  • Horsehair, dirt, or sweat
  • Signs of use such as wear on stirrup leathers, billets, or cinch straps

Original tags and packaging must be included

If items are returned in less-than-new condition, a partial refund or restocking fee may apply at our discretion.

Trying a Saddle for Fit (Without Voiding the Return)

We recommend checking fit right away by following these steps:

  • Place a clean towel or blanket between the saddle and your horse
  • Gently place the saddle to assess its fit—do not cinch or ride yet
  • If needed, sit in the saddle carefully to check your fit—but avoid scratching the leather or causing wear
  • Only ride once you’re sure you’re keeping the saddle—it takes very little use to affect return eligibility

If you have any questions about fit, get feedback from a knowledgeable saddle fitter before riding.

Restocking Fees

  • Saddles and tack returned in new condition will not incur a restocking fee
  • Saddles not returned in new condition may incur a partial refund or restocking fee at our discretion with a minimum 15% restocking fee
  • Customized saddles or tack may incur up to a 15% - 30% restocking fee

Return Shipping & Refunds

  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility and is non-refundable
  • Original shipping costs are also non-refundable, even if you received free shipping with a discount code
  • In some cases, we can provide discounted return shipping and deduct the cost from your refund

Order Cancellations

  • All orders have a 5% cancellation fee, and can be canceled any time before they ship 
  • If your item is backordered or unavailable for 60+ days, you may cancel for a full refund

Damaged Items

Inspect your order upon delivery. We MUST be notified of items damaged in shipping within 24 hours of receipt.  If you receive a damaged item:

  1. Note damage when signing for the package
  2. Email returns@legacysaddles.com with photos
  3. We’ll guide you through the replacement process

Damaged items will be replaced with the same model, size, and color. Manufacturer policies may apply.
