Abetta Mule Trecker: Mule-Specific Fit with Lightweight Trail Comfort

Designed specifically for mule riders the Abetta Mule Trecker Saddle combines mule-friendly fit, exceptional rider comfort and lightweight durability in an easy-care trail saddle. Built for long days on the trail, it provides the support and security riders appreciate while eliminating much of the weight and maintenance associated with traditional leather mule saddles.

Built on Abetta's poly-solid Mule tree the Mule Trecker features a 7" gullet with shorter bars and a narrower bar angle designed to better accommodate the unique back shape of a mule. The compact 21-3/4" bars and rounded 24-1/2" skirt help reduce unnecessary length and bulk, creating a saddle specifically designed around mule conformation rather than adapting a conventional horse saddle.

For the rider an extra-thick Super Cushion seat provides soft, supportive comfort, while the deep seat and 5" cantle create a secure, balanced feel over varied terrain. Durable 1000-denier nylon laminated over shock-absorbing foam keeps the saddle lightweight and easy to maintain, while Abetta inverted stirrups provide stable foot placement. At approximately 18 lbs., the Mule Trecker is easy to lift and handle while offering the durability needed for everyday riding and extended trail adventures.

Why Riders Love It

Designed Specifically for Mules
Built on a specialized Mule tree with shorter bars and a narrower bar angle to better accommodate the distinctive back shape of a mule.

Exceptional Seat Comfort
The extra-thick Super Cushion seat provides soft, supportive cushioning to help reduce rider fatigue during extended trail rides.

Lightweight & Easy to Handle
At approximately 18 lbs., the Mule Trecker is easier to lift, saddle, and handle than many traditional leather mule saddles.

Secure, Deep-Seated Riding Position
A deep seat, 5" cantle, and generous swell provide a supportive, confidence-inspiring riding position over changing terrain.

Compact, Mule-Friendly Profile
Shorter 21-3/4" bars and a rounded 24-1/2" skirt help reduce unnecessary length and bulk on the mule's back.

Easy-Care Synthetic Construction
Durable 1000-denier nylon laminated over shock-absorbing foam resists moisture, scratches, and everyday wear—simply rinse and air dry after riding.

Stable, Secure Footing
Abetta inverted stirrups promote proper foot placement and provide a stable platform for long hours on the trail.
